Sony UK Technology Centre is to sponsor BioWales 2016

Sony UK Technology Centre is to sponsor BioWales 2016, the flagship event for the life sciences sector in Wales.

The announcement follows the news that Lord Winston, one of the highest scientific figures in the UK, will speak at the event which is considered to be one of the UK’s leading life sciences conferences.

Gerald Kelly, Director of Professional Services for Sony UK Technology Centre, said: “BioWales has developed into one of the UK sector’s leading events, attracting major industry names. It’s an aspirational and international event that fits well with our business given our global reputation for building the world’s best technology products.”

“Our third party manufacturing of medical devices starts at the design stage and continues through to aftercare. We offer our clients a bespoke end-to-end manufacturing solution delivered by our highly skilled and flexible workforce. This is underpinned by our 40 years of experience improving quality and yield whilst reducing cost.”

Now in its 14th year, BioWales is returning to the Wales Millennium Centre on 1-2 March 2016. With a theme of Connect and Collaborate, the event attracts an international audience and comprises a world class conference, exhibition, partnering event, workshops and Gala Dinner, all offering a unique platform to develop new international connections and partnering opportunities in Wales.

BioWales 2016 will also cover Proton Beam Therapy developments in Wales, and a Dragon’s Den style competition for entrepreneurs. New for 2016 is an Innovation Zone allowing access to expert advice, new SME rates, and a refreshed website where delegates, exhibitors and sponsors can now register interest www.biowales.com
