Nimway is an intuitive smart office solution. The app and digital floorplans provide workers with personalised, real-time information that helps employees find available meeting rooms, desks and colleagues. It also helps companies keep track of their facility needs and use their office space more efficiently.
Sony UK Technology Centre (UK TEC) in Pencoed has been chosen to manufacture the sensor technology behind the innovative office solution Nimway, as part of Sony ’s Seed Acceleration Program (SAP). “We feel very optimistic about the collaboration with Sony UK TEC. The collaboration proves the strengths of Sony. We provide an end-to-end solution based on Sony’s technology and now we offer also sensors designed and manufactured by Sony in Europe.
We had an open RFI process to evaluate potential suppliers. From this we found that Sony UK TEC is world leading.
We have recently signed a number of deals with major clients in Europe that proves that the Nimway solution is the most intuitive and complete solution for modern offices.
Sony UK TEC provides a very modern manufacturing facility that ensures we can fulfil the customer demand and scale the production.”
The Shipping Confirmation Ceremony took place at the factory in Pencoed on 20 November 2018 and marked the success of this collaboration to date. Executives and management from Sony’s Seed Acceleration Program Europe, Nimway and Sony UK TEC were present at the occasion to officially thank everyone making the production come to life.
Blue Monday is frequently referred to as the most depressing day of the year. Reasons behind this gloomy label include the post-Christmas blues, lack of funds after festive celebrations combined with a longer month, also the general melancholy mood that accompanies the start of a new year.
