We are especially proud to share that Sony UK TEC is the first Welsh-based company to be named a UK National Champion in these awards—a landmark achievement that recognises our long-standing dedication to our people, our community, and our environment.
These awards, hosted by The CSR Society, are among the most respected global honours for social responsibility. Originally launched by The Green Organisation, the International CSR Excellence Awards celebrate organisations that lead with integrity, purpose, and meaningful action.
Our award-winning submission, titled “Delivering community impact through a comprehensive CSR strategy and whole-team approach,” showcased the scale and strength of our CSR efforts, which include:
- A cross-functional CSR committee driving strategy and championing impact across all business areas
- Team-led fundraising events that bring our people together throughout the year
- Collaborative engagement with suppliers and customers via our Charity Golf Day, Charity Walk, and Supplier Conference
- Partnerships with local organisations, such as the Welsh Rugby Union, to amplify community outreach
- Educational programmes focused on inspiring the next generation, with an increased emphasis on sustainability
- Internal DE&I initiatives creating a supportive, inclusive workplace—such as establishing an onsite Quiet Room, annual Pride Cymru support, and the introduction of a Menopause Policy
